Don't get me wrong, I am a firm believer in renewable energy. You can't live close the the sea, and in a windy part of the country, without realising that to harness the constant energy created by these resources, is not a really good idea. The outline of the Lammermuir Hills, on the other side of the valley, is punctuated by wind turbines. There are a number of wind farms over that way. They are part of the landscape now.
However, I wasn't prepared for the new kid on the block. He arrived a couple of days ago. Those of you who are familiar with the running wave, will know that I am rather keen on a certain viewpoint. It has now changed, and I'm a bit fed up.
I suppose it's no worse than the telegraph poles, marching across the landscape. From this spot, it doesn't look that big, but, believe me, driving around the locality, you can see it from everywhere! Mr Gaucho and I have often discussed that it might be more fun if they would paint these turbines in different colours. Camouflage might work for this one!
