Paramount+ 'Halo' Series Trailer (@HaloTheSeries) Reaches 35M+ Views Across All Platforms in First Week!

The long awaited live-action adaptation of the hit video-game franchise Halo is finally upon us and the HYPE TRAIN is chuggin' away at full steam ahead!

Earlier this week Paramount+ released the trailer (Watch by clicking here) for the Showtime produced series, which is also being made in association with 343 Industries and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television.

The trailer has amassed an astonishing amount of views across all social media platforms, totaling at least 34-35 million views (per my calculations) in only 7 days.

Our Master Chief will be played by Pablo Schreiber (13 Hours, Orange is the New Black) and Yerin Ha, seen talking to the Chief in the trailer, plays a new character within the Halo world named QuanAh, described as "a shrewd, audacious 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief at a fateful time for them both."

The official plot synopsis describes the series as, "an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future."

According to Wikipedia, "executive producer Kiki Wolfkill revealed that the series is a standalone story inspired by the game franchise, rather than a continuation, adaptation, or prequel, explaining that they wished to give the two Halo canons a chance to evolve individually to suit their mediums."

Here are some comments on the series from the creators and stars at The Critics Awards this year:

Upon the release of the trailer some Twitter users began calling for the blue coloration of Master Chief's right hand woman Cortana, played by the voice actress of the character from the video-games, Jen Taylor, but the final decision on the hologram's pigmentation is currently yet to be seen.

I personally believe she should be blue as well, but also believe they won't change it at this point. However, I don't believe this will be a "make-it or break-it decision" akin to the fixing of Sonic's character design in the Sonic the Hedgehog film, unlike some users.

Halo the series will premiere on March 24th, 2022 on Paramount+.
